Lock function
Slide the lock switch to unlock or lock the straightener arms. Lock the arms in the closed position to gently dry the hair and add volume from the roots.
Automatic pause
Three seconds after you put the straightener down, the device will automatically pause. Simply pick it up again to resume airflow.
Intelligent temperature control
Glass thermistors located in the arms of the device regulate the temperature of the airflow up to 16 times per second to prevent thermal damage and protect the natural shine of the hair.
Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor
The 13-blade impeller, powered by the Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor, spins at up to 106,000rpm, pushing 11.9 litres of air per second through the device. This generates 3.6 kPa of air pressure, high enough to straighten hair while drying.
More than a plug
The PRCD ( Portable Residual Current Device ) protected plug has been designed to ensure safety when using the Dyson Airstrait™ hair straightener.
Dyson engineers have designed the plug to have key electronics built into it. Moving these into the plug has reduced the weight and size of the appliance itself. The plug is currently Dyson´s best solution for creating a lightweight and compact product that allows for wet and dry straightening.
